SHARE 9.2 is coming...
We are excited to announce a transformational change to the way we report and approve time at the State of New Mexico. Beginning with the April 2017 HCM 9.2Go-Live, state employees will use a new positive time reporting process to enter their hours worked. Instead of only reporting exceptions from your scheduled hours, like time off or holidays, we will report the actual hours we work every week. Supervisors will then approve the hours reported by each employee, rather than time calculated and converted into payable time.
The benefits of positive time reporting include:
- A time reporting process that empowers us to take ownership and responsibility for the time we report
- Time approvals that are easier to process and understand for managers and supervisors
- Increased accuracy of payroll data and less time spent correcting over payments
- Alignment with HR best practices and the way other organizations report time
Note: If you currently use a different method of time reporting (such as time collection devices, paper timesheets, or having your time entered in SHARE by authorized timekeepers) you will continue reporting your time the same way in April 2017. If you are a timekeeper who reports time on behalf of someone else, you will keep that same role as we transition to positive time reporting.
We will continue to share more information about this and other changes with you as soon as it becomes available. You will also receive training for changes like positive time reporting prior to the HCM Go-Live in April 2017.
